Letters, 1850-1893.

Letters of Roscoe Greene Jennings, dating from 1850 to 1893 are included. They consist of 92 letters to his brother, Orville Jennings, in Washington, AR, 1850-1865; 9 letters to his brother from Leeds, Maine, 1866; 7 letters from E.B. Jennings to Orville from New Orleans during the yellow fever epidemic of 1878; 30 miscellaneous letters regarding the medical school and the early Arkansas Medical Society 1875-1880; his scrapbook and diploma are also in the collection. The letters contain information concerning his education, his Civil War experiences, his affiliation with the medical school and the State Medical Society. Research notes and articles written by Dr. Eugene Nolte from the papers are contained in the file.
